The Winning Poker Network (WPN) has acquired Drag the Bar (DTB), the popular poker training website, and is offering the content free of charge.
An official announcement hasn’t been released as of yet, but WPN plans to so so soon, according to a recent 2 + 2 post from a network representative. A visit to the DTB website confirms the acquisition via a new banner stating that the site is Brought to you by Americas Cardroom.
U.S. online poker players are certainly aware that Americas Cardroom (ACR) is the flagship skin on WPN. We here at [geolink href=”https://www.USAfriendlypokersites.com”]USAfriendlypokersites.com[/geolink] have long been touting the advantages of playing at ACR and have been providing a special [geolink href=”https://www.usafriendlypokersites.com/americas-cardroom/”]Americas Cardroom bonus code[/geolink] that new players signing up can use to receive the maximum bonus allowed.
Those ACR advantages include speedy cashouts, attentive customer service, a growing customer base that leans toward recreational players, and a 100% up to $1,000 first-time deposit bonus. A stellar VIP program and ongoing promotions such as “The Beast” and “Sit n Crush” leaderboard races also are attracting U.S. players to ACR.
News of the DTB acquisition began making the rounds about a week ago when a co-founder of DTB provided the information in a posting at 2 + 2. ‘BeachJustice,’ the DTB co-founder, told 2 + 2ers that negotiations regarding WPN taking over DTB were nearly complete.
In the same post, ‘BeachJustice’ also revealed that DTB would be 100% free to everyone
without losing the current coaches or the site content that many players have used to improve their skills. We may see the level of play at ACR and WPN spike up a bit with the training now provided free of charge.
But the good news is that you as a player can be one of those taking advantage of the opportunity to improve your play as well. Proper coaching and training results in better decision-making at the poker tables, which leads to a larger bankroll. And who doesn’t want a larger bankroll?
It was further revealed by an astute 2 + 2 poster that the CEO of WPN was instrumental in starting up DTB. That start-up commenced in 2009 under a soft launch and DTB fully announced its entry into the poker coaching market in 2010.
Valuable training content has been accumulating at DTB for five years now, content that can be accessed for free. Several 2 + 2 posters have visited the coaching site and have confirmed the accessibility.
The DTB purchase comes on the heels of WPN’s successful hosting of the Winning Millions $1 million guaranteed tournament last month. Exciting stuff is happening at the network and at ACR, and U.S. players have been certainly taking notice. That has resulted in increased player traffic in 2015, which will likely increase more following the acquisition of DTB.
