I’m often amazed at the different promotions dreamed up by various poker rooms, and the new “Progressive Prize Pools” at Carbon Poker should win an award.
Merge Gaming Network’s lead skin has announced that if guarantees are met in selected tournaments, those guarantees will be increased for the next running of the event. In other words, players have a say in how high the guarantees can go depending upon the number of entries.
The tournaments included in the promotion are two of Carbon Poker’s most popular, the Sunday Big Ticket and the Nightly $33. Should the latter event reach its guarantee, the prize pool will increase by $100 the following day and each subsequent day that the guarantee is met.
For the Sunday Big Ticket that’s held just once a week, the prize pool will shoot up $5,000 for the next running on the following Sunday as long as player entries match the guarantee. And should guarantees not be met for either of the tourneys in the Progressive Prize Pools promo, they are both given three chances to reach the guarantee and continue increasing before a new guarantee is set by the brain trust at Carbon Poker.
Currently, the Nightly $33 has a guarantee of $12,600, while the Sunday Big Ticket is $135,000. Sunday’s event has a $215 buy-in, while the amount required to enter the Nightly $33 is self-explanatory.
Refer a Friend
Carbon Poker is encouraging players to spread the word about the Progressive Prize Pools promotion, as well as the overall benefits of playing at the U.S.-friendly poker room.
